Awards and recognition
Bee World Hulice has earned recognition from both professionals and visitors throughout its existence. We greatly appreciate the awards that confirm the meaningfulness of our work and motivate us to continue developing.
Architecture yearbook 2011-2012
Shortly after opening, Bee World received significant professional recognition. The project to convert a former school into an interactive museum was included in the prestigious publication Czech architecture 2011–2012 (author Michal Kuzemenský), which presents a selection of the most interesting architectural projects in the Czech Republic.
This professional recognition confirmed that the creation of Bee World was exceptional not only in its content, but also in its architectural design.
Open day (EU funding)
In 2020, Bee World, together with Water House, was selected among model projects financed by European Union funds as an example of successfully implemented investments benefiting the public. As part of the nationwide event Where EU funds help, an open day with a rich accompanying programme took place at Bee World on 19 September 2020. Although the event was held during the COVID-19 pandemic and under strict hygiene measures, it attracted a large number of visitors and confirmed that Bee World is a place of genuine importance to the public.

Patria Nostra award 2020
Bee World Hulice received the prestigious Patria Nostra 2020 award, presented by the Central Bohemian Region for outstanding projects contributing to rural development and the preservation of its values.
The award was presented for the sensitive reconstruction of a former village school from 1901 into the Bee World Hulice interactive museum, which introduces visitors to the fascinating world of bees and the importance of protecting them.
The award was accepted by representatives of the municipality of Hulice, the project architects and the management of Bee World. For us, this award confirms that combining a historic building, a modern exhibition and public education is worthwhile.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the creation and development of Bee World. Without their work, support and enthusiasm, this unique project could not have been created.

Our European project 2021
In 2021, Bee World Hulice won the nationwide Facebook competition Our European project, which showcases inspiring projects supported by European Union funds.
Towns, municipalities and their organisations from across the Czech Republic take part in the competition. The winner is decided by the public through their votes.
We were delighted that the project to transform a former rural school into the Bee World interactive museum received the highest number of votes and won the 2021 edition.
We see this award above all as support from visitors, supporters and everyone who believes that education about bees, nature and the landscape is meaningful. We thank everyone who gave us their vote.
The victory confirmed that even a small rural museum can reach people from across the country and become a place that inspires, educates and brings joy to children and adults alike.
